| Physical and Chemical Properties | Chemical properties brown powder. Soluble in water and ethanol, yellow brown, soluble in fibrinolytic (glycol ether), slightly soluble in acetone, insoluble in other organic solvents. It is red to reddish brown in concentrated sulfuric acid, and then becomes orange precipitate after dilution; it is red in concentrated nitric acid and then turns to yellow brown. Its aqueous solution, add concentrated hydrochloric acid to turn brown and orange; add concentrated sodium hydroxide to orange. When dyeing, the color is darker when encountering copper; when encountering iron, the color is darker than yellow. Solubility in water (80 ℃)100g/L. |
